Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of The Tunnel Hotel and Tracks & Yaks websites and your bookings of our rooms, campsites, cafe, and guided experiences. By placing a booking you agree to them. Where these terms reference a specific policy, that policy controls.
1. Bookings and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and confirmed at checkout. The amount you pay is calculated by our system from current rates and applicable taxes; the figures on a product page are for reference and the server total is authoritative. Lodging is taxed at the combined Allegany County and Maryland rate, cafe and retail at the Maryland goods rate, and guided experiences and rentals are an untaxed service, as detailed in our taxes policy.
2. Cancellation and rescheduling
Applies to rooms and experiences alike, measured against the trip/stay date — never the order date. Cancel for a full refund with 72+ hours notice. Reschedule with 48+ hours notice. Inside those windows, no refund is issued. Operator-initiated weather cancellations receive a full refund or credit. All refunds are reviewed and approved by staff before any money moves. Check-in is contactless: your unique door code is texted to your verified phone at check-in and is active only for your stay window. Please check out by 11:00 AM. You are responsible for the conduct of everyone in your party and for any damage beyond ordinary wear. Smoking is not permitted inside the inn.
4. Activities, risk, and waiver
Railbiking, cycling, and paddling carry inherent risks. Every participant, or their guardian if a minor, must sign our activity waiver before taking part. The waiver is currently a draft pending final legal text and should not be treated as final.

5. Messaging and privacy
Booking with us means receiving transactional messages about your stay or ride. Promotional texts require separate opt-in and are never a condition of purchase; reply STOP to opt out at any time. We handle your information per our privacy policy and never sell your opt-in data.
6. Liability and changes
To the extent permitted by Maryland law, our liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. We may update these terms; the version in effect at the time of your booking applies. Questions go to 240-943-2048 or info@tracksandyaks.com.
